Thanks to our privileged location, from L’Indret there are countless walking routes, bicycle, motorbike or car routes you can enjoy.

The Baix and Alt Empordà counties have a rich historical and cultural heritage:

The so called “Empordanet” by the catalan writer Josep Pla, is an awesome landscape with beautiful medieval villages like Peratallada, Palau-sator, Vulpallac, Sant Iscle d’Empordà, Parlavà, Fonolleres, Rupià, Llabià, etc.

When you come to the L’Indret, you’ll discover the thrill of a Kayak Trip through the river Ter.

Want to know l’Empordà from above? Jump into the thrill of ballooning this awesome scenery with our partners Globus Empordà.

Take a trip to the cozy Bisbal d’Empordà or to Torroella de Montgri at the foot of Montgrí, a giant stone mountain with the shape of a sleeping Bishop.

Or go to the seaside town of L’Estartit and from there, in a boat, to the Medes Islands, a major marine reserve, or maybe to the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, amazing bird reserve.

Don’t forget to take a one day ride to Girona, our little Florence, located just 25 minutes from where we are.

You will plunge into its impressive Jewry, one of the most important and best preserved in Europe. You’ll appreciate Its cathedral and churches, arab baths, museums, art galleries and also, its great restaurants. Strolling through downtown streets will awaken all your senses.

Just forty minutes from L’Indret you’ll reach Figueres, birthplace of Salvador Dalí, the universal painter. You can wander through the romantic promenade or through the galleries of the museum that bears the name of the master of Surrealism.

From the capital of the Alt Empordà, if you have enough time, don’t miss the opportunity to visit other towns like Besalu, Roses, Castelló d’Empúries, El Port de la Selva or Cadaques, try to admire the wonders of the Cap de Creus or the impressive benedictine monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes.

We remind you that Figueres has an AVE railway station from where you can travel to Barcelona and return on the same day. If you wish, we’ll pick you at the station.

When you come back, we will be there, waiting for you, having prepared your rest, letting you recover from the day and refilling all your energies that will enable you to keep on enjoying your journey through our land.
